Provenance studies of Kalabsha kaolin deposits, Egypt: a petrographical and geochemical approach
The present study focuses on the kaolin deposit in Kalabsha area south Western Desert of Egypt in an attempt to determine its possible source, tectonic setting, and weathering history by means of integrated petrographical and geochemical approaches. The petrographical study was worked by microscopic investigation and supported by X-ray diffraction analysis. X-ray fluorescence and inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrophotometry methods were ... HYDROTHERMAL ALTERATION ASSOCIATED WITH POLYMETALLIC VEIN, WADI HAMAD AREA, NORTH EASTERN DESERT EGYPT
The hydrothermal alteration patterns associating with the gold prospect hosted by shear zone along the contact between the granites and Dokhan volcanis in the Hamad area, Eastern Desert of Egypt, were .investigated in order to assign their relationship to mineralization Read more

Copper–Gold–Sulphide Mineralization Associated with Late Precambrian Volcanic Ring Structures, Southern Sinai, Egypt
The paper considers the Precambrian ring structures in an island arc and their associated mineralization in the southern Sinai. Several ring structures in an island arcsetting have been recognized within the volcanic field in southern Sinai including the Kid Ring structure, St. Katarina Ring Structure, and the Iqna Ring Structure. All ring structures are associated with mineralization, the largest one ... Read more

PORPHYRY-EPITHERMAL CU ± AU MINERALIZATION IN EL SAMRA AREA,SOUTHEASTERN SINAI, EGYPT
El Samra area in southeastern Sinai is occupied by Dokhan volcanic and Hammamat sediments. The Dokhan volcanic separated into (a) older Dokhan volcanic of intermediate compositions, and (b) younger Dokhan volcanic of rhyolitic composition. The two subunits are separated by a time interval of considerable magnitude during which deposition of the Hammamat sediments. The volcanic-sedimentary succession intruded by high level ... Mineralogy, Types and Genesis of the Copper-Gold-Sulphide Ore Mineralization, of Um Zerriq Area, Metallogenic Kid Belt in Southeastern Sinai, Egypt.
The copper-gold-sulphide mineralization in the Um Zerriq area forms part of the metallogenic Kid belt of southeastern Sinai, Egypt. Mineralization is the result of three sequential main types consisting of porphyry, epithermal, and Skarn mineralization. Sulfide assemblages and their textures were useful to identify each type and their paragenesis. The porphyry Copper-gold mineralization shows mineral assemblages started by sulfide-oxide mineral assemblages ... Read more
