:ABSTRACT Background: Psychiatric disturbances in chronic HCV infected patients under treatment by Pegylated-interferon and ribavirin combined therapy (PEG-IFN/Rib) still show worldwide controversy and no sufficient studies address this problem in Upper Egypt.
