Magnetocaloric Effect, Electric, and Dielectric Properties of Nd0.6Sr0.4MnxCo1-xO3 Composites
The magnetocaloric effect (MCE) and electric-dielectric properties of the Nd-cobaltate perovskitesNd0.6Sr0.4Co1xMnxO3(x = 0, 0.3, 0.7 and 1) were investigated for possible use in magnetic cooling appli-cations. Upon Mn substitution, the magnetic exchange interaction is affected by the (Mn4+/Mn3+) ratio, which in turn impacts several physical properties. The XRD patterns of the synthesized compositesrevealed a single phase with an orthorhombic structure with ... Read more

Structural and Optical Properties of Nanostructured Fe-Doped SnO2
Nanocrystalline Sn1-xFexO2 (where x = 0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03 and 0.04) powders have been successfully synthesized by the hydrothermal method followed by sintering at 1000 C for 3 h. The morphology and structure of the samples have been analyzed by field emission scanning electron microscope and X-ray diffraction, respectively. X-ray diffraction results revealed that all diffraction peaks positions agree well ... Read more

Effect of Fe doping on the electrical and magnetic properties of Sn1-xFexO2 nanoparticles
In this work, Sn1−xFexO2 (x = 0.00, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06 and 0.08) nanoparticles have been synthesized using ball-milling method. The average diameter of the nanoparticles decreases from 487 to 216 nm by adding Fe2O3 to the tin dioxide. The X-ray diffraction analyses confirms formation of tetragonal structure which is typical feature of SnO2 compounds. Theoretical density was found to be ... Read more

Enhancement of the power factor of Pb1-xSnxTe (0.00 ≥ x ≥ 0.08) alloys,
Thermoelectric properties of Pb1–xSnxTe (0.00 ≥ x ≥ 0.08) alloys synthesized by melting-quenching-annealing method have been investigated. The sample structure and phases have been investigated by Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction, while the morphology and stoichiometry have been studied by SEM and EDX. The nanomaterial exists in a single phase and has a facecentred cubic (fcc) lattice of rock-salt type ... Read more

Growth and opto-electro-structural properties of nanocrystalline PbSe thin films,
The present work deals with the structural, optical and electrical characterization of PbSe thin films with variable thickness deposited on well-cleaned glass substrates by electron beam evaporation technique at room temperature (RT). Grown films are characterized by X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive spectroscopy, resistivity measurements (from room temperature to 200 °C) and optical measurements at room temperature in order to study ...
