In this study, we describe the effect of diuron, a photosynthesis-inhibiting herbicide, on growth, photosynthetic pigment contents, carbohydrate, protein, amino acids, proline, nitrate reductase and some antioxidant enzymes in cell suspensions of Chlorella vulgaris for seven days.
