Facies, sequence stratigraphy and factors controlling Plio-Pleistocene lacustrine sedimentation of the area around Sohag , Nile Valley, Egypt
The outcropping Plio-Pleistocene lacustrine sediments around Sohag area extends as a separate belt occupying the proximity of fault-controlled escarpment, and are represented by the laterally interfingering Issawia and Armant formations.
