Generalized magneto-thermoelasticity in a nonhomogeneous isotropic hollow cylinder using the finite element method
In this paper, we constructed the equations of generalized magneto-thermoelasticity in a perfectly conducting medium. The formulation is applied to generalizations, the Lord–Shulman theory with one relaxation time, and the Green–Lindsay theory with two relaxation times, as well as to the coupled theory. The material of the cylinder is supposed to be nonhomogeneous isotropic both mechanically and thermally. The problem ... Read more

Finite element analysis of two-temperature generalized magneto-thermoelasticity
A general finite element model is proposed to analyze transient phenomena in thermoelastic solids. Youssef model of two-temperature generalized magneto-thermoelasticity is selected for an homogenous, isotropic, conducting and elastic medium, which is subjected to thermal shock, and a magnetic field with constant intensity acts tangent to the bounding plane. The numerical solution of the nondimensional governing partial differential equations of ... Read more

Generalized magneto-thermoelasticity in a fiber-reinforced anisotropic half-space
The propagation of plane waves in a fiber-reinforced, anisotropic thermoelastic half-space proposed by Lord–Shulman under the effect of a magnetic field is discussed. The problem has been solved numerically using a finite element method. Numerical results for the temperature distribution, the displacement components, and the thermal stress are given and illustrated graphically. Comparisons are made with the results predicted by ... Magneto-thermoelastic response of an infinite functionally graded cylinder using the finite element model
In this article, the magneto-thermo analysis problem of an infinite functionally graded (FG) hollow cylinder is studied. The radial displacement, mechanical stresses and temperature, as well as the electromagnetic stress, are all investigated along the radial direction of the infinite cylinder. Material properties are assumed to be graded in the radial direction according to a novel power-law distribution in terms ... Read more

On the numerical solution of thermal shock problem for generalized magneto-thermoelasticity for an infinitely long annular cylinder with variable thermal conductivity
In the present work, we study the transient phenomena in magneto-thermoelastic model in the context of the theory of generalized thermoelasticity GL model with variable thermal conductivity. The numerical solutions for the displacement, temperature, and radial and hoop streasses in the context of FEM are obtained. The boundary conditions for the mechanical and Maxwell's stresses at the internal and outer ... Read more

LS model on thermal shock problem of generalized magneto-thermoelasticity for an infinitely long annular cylinder with variable thermal conductivity
In the present paper, an estimation is made to investigate the transient phenomena in magneto-thermoelastic model in the context of the theory of generalized thermoelasticity LS model with variable thermal conductivity. FEM is proposed to analyze the problem and obtain the numerical solutions for the displacement, temperature, and radial and hoop stresses. The boundary conditions for the mechanical and Maxwell’s ...
