Oral contraceptive has side effects on wellbeing including: physical and emotional well-being, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), sexual interest, enjoyment, frequency of sexual activity and un planned pregnancy and the continuation of women in using OCs was 38% continued OCs, 47% discontinued, and 14% switched to another OCs. Emotional side effects, worsening of PMS, decreased frequency of sexual thoughts, and decreased psychosexual arousability correctly categorized 87% of cases by using logistic regression. Therefore, the aim is to evaluate impact of oral contraceptive on women wellbeing and its relation to discontinuation and to evaluate nursing role in improving women's wellbeing through counseling. Descriptive, Quasi-experimental design was used to conduct this research .This study was carried out at outpatient clinics of family planning at Sohag University Hospital. .The sample of this study was consisted of a purposive sample 380 women. Tools used in this study Tool I: - Patient assessment sheet. Tool II: - Premenstrual syndrome questionnaire. Tool III: - Sexual Function questionnaire. Tool IV: - Counseling. Tool IIV:-follow up sheet. The main results: it revealed that the majority of the study sample was at age 25-30years with a mean age ( 29.75 ± 5.59) .. Conclusion: - Physical and emotional well-being including premenstrual syndrome (PMS), sexual interest, enjoyment, frequency of sexual activity and un planned pregnancy and continuation , discontinuation of women in using OCs
