Ahmed Elkordy is an Associate Professor of Plant Taxonomy and Flora at the Department of Botany and Microbiology, Faculty of Science, Sohag University, Egypt. He received his Ph.D. from the Main Botanical Garden of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, and his M.Sc. from Sohag University. His research focuses on the taxonomy, molecular phylogeny, and floristic diversity of flowering plants, with special interest in arid regions.
