Ahmed was born in Sohag, Egypt in 1984.He received the M.S. degree in restoration and conservation of metallic monuments from Sohag University, Sohag, Egypt, in 2013. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in materials science with the Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy. He is also an Assistant Lecturer with the Restoration and Conservation Department, Faculty of Archaeology, Sohag University. His current research interests include plasma uses in conservation, coating deposition, corrosion and protection of metallic materials, Nanomaterials, and conservation of the cultural heritage.
