Dr. Emad F. Newair is an Associate Professor of Analytical Chemistry. He received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Sohag University, Egypt. Dr. Newair’s research under supervision of Professor Refat Abdel-Hamid has received a million of Egyptian pounds in funding from the Science, Technology & Innovation Funding Authority (STDF, Grant number 5361). He is interested in Electrochemistry of Polyphenol Antioxidants, Electrochemically Modified Electrodes, Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectroscopy, and Electrochemical Synthesis of Conducting Polymer. In 2012, he received a short-term scholarship to Monash University, Australia for training on the application of modern electroanalytical techniques. In the period from 2014 to 2016, he received two Post-Doctoral Research Grants to Montpellier-AupAgro, France. In 2022, he was named as a Visiting Fulbright Scholar at the University of Cincinnati, USA. He has over 15 peer-reviewed publications and 10 conference proceedings. Dr. Newair is equally dedicated to his teaching and advising, graduating Ph.D. and M.S. students. He teaches courses in Analytical Chemistry, Electrochemistry and General Chemistry.
