Studies on the Megatrypanum trypanosomes of the Egyptian bat (Pipistrellum kuhli) from Sohag Governorate Egypt.
Out of 150 Egyptian bats (Pipistrel/us Kuhli) hunted in the premises of Sohag City, 60 (40%) were harbouring trypanosomes of the subgenus Megatrypanum (Hoare, 1964). They were T M heybergi (Rodhian, 1923), T. M. possoai (Dean and Sugary, 1963) and T. M. magadermae (Wenyon, 1990). Read more

On some Trematodes recovered from Bats (Chiroptera) in Sohag, Southern Egypt.
A number of 52 bats recovered from different areas in Sohag were examined for intestinal trematodes. From 35 bats of the species Taphosous nudiventris 12 were found infected, and also 5 out of 17 bats of the pecies Nycteris thebaica.
