This paper is concerned with the general (inclusive) characteristics of 24Mg interactions with different components of emulsion nuclei. Reaction cross sections, number of interacting projectile protons and shower particle multiplicity distributions are studied. An extended Glauber model in which higher order eclipse corrections are included is found to reproduce correctly the experimental results. إقراء المزيد

The mean free path for inelastic interactions of 6Li in emulsion is measured and found not to be in systematic agreement with the different known theoretical parameterizations. This may be attributed to the loosely bound structure of 6Li nuclei.
