ABSTRACT Velopharyngeal Insufficiency (VPI) means that the velopharyngeal closure is inadequate or disturbed. VPI may be organic or functional and results in open nasality. VPI due to sudden weight loss is a very rare condition. We reported a case of open nasality and Eustachian tube dysfunction due to sudden weight loss after bariatric surgery.
