OBJECTIVE: Kisspeptin (KISS-1) is a hypothalamic neuropeptide that regulates hypothalamic pituitary ovarian axis function. Pre-ovulatory rise in serum KISS-1 leads to luteinizing hormone (LH) surge that triggers final oocytes maturation and ovulation.
