Testicular tissue bleeding as indication of gonadal viability in testicular torsion

In testicular torsion the viability of the tests ddetermined by time from truma up to 6 hour . when the patient presented late after 6 hour we  do exploration and the tests is black  take a wedge from tunica albuginea and wait for 10 min. if bleeding occur the tests is consider as viabl and preserved if no bleeding occur the testis is not viable and removed
