Four new water mite species of the genus Cheiroseiulus (Mesostigmata: Platyseiinae) collected from the River Nile, Egypt.

Abstract

Four new species belonging to the genus Cheiroseiulus, were collected from the floating plant roots; Eichhomia crassipes, in River Nile, Sohag Governorate. These are Cheiroseiulus crassipes, C. spinosus, C. punctum and C. longisetosus. They are described, using the Scanning Electron Microscope and compared with relative identified species.
