Abstract. We introduce a new analytical-approximate method based on the global residue harmonic balance method (GRHBM) to study the oscillation of nonlinear nanoelectromechanical resonators. The proposed method is efficiently implemented and evaluated numerically. An illustrative example demonstrates
the validity and applicability of the method, further discussed in detail. A highly remarkable agreement
found between the approximated solution obtained with the first-order approximation of the present approach and the numerical solutions deduced by other methods that also show the effectiveness of the
current approach.
