Polyneuropathy

Means inflammatory or degenerative process affecting  peripheral or cranial nerves leading to sensorimotor and /or autonomic functions.

Terminology

Mononeuropathy: single affected nerve.

Mononeuritis multiplex: more than one nerve is affected in one limb.

    Polyneuropathy: affection of peripheral nerves in the four limbs.
