This course aims to :
Introduce the architectural history, its beginning and its development. (Prehistoric architecture,
the Ancient Egyptian architecture, Greek and Roman architecture)
- Familiarize students with the different factors and principles affecting the general style of
architecture, through the presentation of different examples of building typologies.
Course Objectives:
This course should enable students to:
- Learn the roots of architecture.
- Learn the cultural processes and environmental responses.
- Learn the theory of Modern architecture.
- Understand the characteristics and historical development of different forms.
- Analyses the buildings details within their environmental, cultural, social, and economic
contexts.
