Post graduate teaching course
The department of general surgery adopted a post graduate teaching course for post graduate doctors in the department including Diplomat, and Master degrees as long as M.D. degree doctors
The teaching course included all subjects of surgical curriculum at its designated hours by a volunteered staff of the department, and declared in the department prior launching
The curriculum including the following subjects:
- Surgery of the head and neck
- Surgery of the esophagus and stomach
- Surgery of the intestine
- Surgery of the colon and rectum
- Surgery of the liver
- Surgery of the biliary system and pancreas
- Surgery of the spleen and lymphatic system
- Surgery of the thyroid and parathyroid gland
- Surgery of the Abdominal wall and incisions
- Management of trauma patient
- Pathophysiologic aspects of surgery
- Some advanced surgical practice eg. Transplantation surgery, damage control surgery
The lectures was prepared and delivered by staff at the seminar word, General surgery department, fourth floor.
