Synthesis, Characterization and Biological Studies of Some new Cr(III), Fe(III) and Cu(II) Complexes based on Multi-Substituted  Aryl Imidazole ligand
New Cr (III), Fe (III) and Cu (II) complexes with MSBB (2‐(1‐butyl‐4,5 diphenyl‐1H‐imidazol‐2‐yl)(4-bromophenol) were synthesized. The multi-substituted aryl imidazole ligand (MSBB) and its complexes were characterized by using elemental and thermal analysis, molar conductivity, magnetic susceptibility, UV-Vis spectral data, IR, and NMR. Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes : synthesis, spectroscopic characterization, theoretical calculations, DNA interaction and antimicrobial studies
A novel Schiff base, namely _Z_‐3‐((2‐((_E_)‐(2‐hydroxynaphthyl)methylene)amino)‐5‐nitrophenylimino)‐1,3‐dihydroindin‐2‐one, was synthesized from the condensation of 2‐hydroxy‐1‐naphthaldehyde and isatin with 4‐nitro‐_o_‐phenylenediamine. It was structurally characterized on the basis of 1H NMR, 13C NMR and infrared spectra and elemental analyses. In addition, Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes of the Schiff base ligand were prepared.
