Research Interests

Research has focused on unraveling corrosion mechanisms  and  designing corrosion resistant alloys and Electrodeposited coatings. Expertise with  routine use of Electrochemistry, Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscopy, and X-ray Diffraction For Failure analysis, and For Understanding Corrosion and Passivity. Electrodeposition by using different techniques. Understanding the Electrochemical behavior of Acidic and Alkaline Batteries in detail.

 

Practical Experiences and Applications

1)   Synthesis of alloys.

2)   Physical Characterization of alloys using x-ray diffraction technique and scanning electron microscope .

3)   Protection of alloys against corrosion using organic and inorganic inhibitors.

4)   Electro deposition of thin films on alloys and metals to protect against corrosion.
