  • 05.1996: Graduation to BSc. of physics from Faculty of Science, South Valley University (Sohag) with honors degree.

Research Interests:

Materials research on nanostructures, such as nano-magnets, metal oxide nanomaterials, nano-thermoelectric and carbon nanotubes.  

Supervision:

Technical skills and experiences:   

Professional in the following items:

 1- Materials characterization: Professional for using different characterization techniques such as scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy EDX, Raman spectroscopy and x-ray diffraction. Analyzing the data of high resolution transmission electron microscope HRTEM, selected area electron diffraction SAED, electron energy loss spectroscopy EELS, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy XPS. 

2- Materials synthesis: Syntheses of single- and multi-walled carbon nanotubes and carbon coated magnetic nanoparticles using chemical vapor deposition CVD, plasma enhanced CVD and Aerosol assisted CVD techniques. Synthesis of some metal oxides (such as ZnO) nanowires using vapor-liquid-solid VLS method. Preparation of different alloys and compositions using solid state reactions and melting techniques.    

3- Physical properties measurements such as

  • Magnetic measurements using alternating gradient magnetometer AGM, vibrating sample magnetometer VSM, superconducting quantum interference devices SQUID and SQUID VSM.
  • Electrical measurements for thin films, bulk and powder samples using four probe and two probes techniques.
  • Thermoelectric measurements.
