Improvement of in vitro propagation of jojoba by low concentrations of NaCl or mannitol
This work was done to improve our understanding about the effect of growth regulators on micropropagation and gene expression of stress tolerant jojoba plant and how they were influenced by the presence of different stress agents. Genetic variation of plants obtained from seeds of jojoba, was checked using RAPD technique. The registered genetic variation was too high and to avoid ... Read more

In vitro Propagation and Essential Oils Composition with Cytotoxicity of Daucus capillifolius Gilli (Apiaceae)
Abstract : Micropropagation and callus culture of Daucus capillifolius Gilli (Apiaceae) were successfully established in Murashige and Skoog(MS) solid medium enriched with different plant growth regulators. The combination of NAA (1mg/L) + BAP (0.1mg/L) was found to be the optimum for both organogenesis and embryogenesis. The compositions of essential oils obtained from wild fruits, cultivated fruits and callus culture were ... Read more

Effect of anti-ethylene compounds on isoenzyme patterns and genome stability during long term culture of Moringa oleifera
Multiplication of Moringa oleifera shoots on MS medium supplemented with 2.5 μM BAP for 3 weeks resulted in shoot vitrification which led to chlorosis, retardation of shoot formation, reduction in shoot length, necrosis of shoot tips and formation of friable calli on the base of cultured explants. Vitrification symptoms decreased when MS medium containing 2.5 μM BAP in combination with ... Read more

In vitro propagation, microtuberization, and molecular characterization of three potato cultivars
Sprouts of potato tubers were excised from the three potato cultivars Agria, Hermes, and Spunta, sterilized and subjected to shoot formation and propagation on Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with 1 mg dm-3 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP) + 0.5 mg dm-3gibberellic acid. Shoots were rooted on MS medium supplemented with 1 mg dm-3 indole-3-butyric acid. To increase shoot vigour prior tuber ... Read more

IN VITRO PROPAGATION OF MORINGA OLEIFERA L. UNDER SALINITY AND VENTILATION CONDITIONS
Moringa oleifera is a fast growing tree under field conditions. A micropropagation protocol of M. oleifera was established, and effects of salinity and ventilation on fast growing cultured plant materials were studied. Efficient shoot formation and multiplication were obtained when nodal or shoot tip explants were cultured on MS medium supplemented with 2.5 μM 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP) at mild ventilation conditions. ...
