أدت التغيرات التي شهدها العالم في العقود الأخيرة إلى زيادة الاهتمام بتنمية قيم المواطنة لدى الأفراد باعتبارها صمام أمان لتماسك النسيج المجتمعي من خلال تزويد الأفراد بالمعارف والقيم والاتجاهات الاجتماعية والسياسية والثقافية والأخلاقية التي تساعدهم على التكيف مع هذه التغييرات ومواجهه تحدياتها فى ضوء الخصوصية المجتمعية لكل دولة وشعب، فقد هدفت الدراسة التعرف على دور الجامعة فى تنمية قيم المواطنة والتعرف على درجة تمثل هذه القيم لدى طلابها ووعيهم بأثر تحديات العولمة على مفهوم وأبعاد المواطنة، ولتحقيق ذلك تم إعداد استبانه اشتملت على (79) فقرة، وطبقت على عينة مكونة من (1065) منهم (648) طالباً، و(417) طالبة في الفصل الدراسي الثاني من العام الجامعي 2015-2016، وتوصلت إلى أن الجامعة تساهم بدرجة كبيرة فى تنمية قيم المواطنة، وأن درجة تمثل طلبة جامعة أسيوط وسوهاج لقيم المواطنة كانت مرتفعة، كما أنه لا توجد فروق عند مستوى الدلالة (0.05) فى درجة تمثل الطلبة لقيم المواطنة تعزى لمتغير العمر ونوع الكليات.

"The role of the University in developing citizenship values of students in the midst of globalization challenges: A field study on a sample of students at Sohag University"
The changes which the world witnessed over the last decades led to an increasing interest in the development of citizenship values of individuals to safeguard the cohesion of the social fabric by providing the individuals with the knowledge,values, social political, cultural, and moral attitudes which help them adapt to these changes and face their challenges in the light of the societal specificity of each country, The study aimed at investigating the role of the university in developing citizenship values and the extent to which students adopt these values and their awareness of the impact of the challenges of globalization on the concept and dimensions of citizenship,To do this a(79) passages questionnaire was designed, It was applied on a sample of (1065) student including 648 males, and 417 female in the second academic term 2015-2016, The study found that the university plays a major role in developing citizenship values ,and that the degree of adopting citizenship values by the students of Assuit and Sohag universities was high. It is also no differences at the significance level (0.05) in the degree students represent the values of citizenship due to the variable age and faculties.
