- Overall aims of course
To learn the students classification of drugs, prescription, pharmaceutical dosage forms and different routes of drug administration.

a-Knowledge & Understanding Skills
1- Define Pharmacy orientation, pharmacy, drug and classification of drugs. |
2- Recognize the pharmacy profession, prescription parts, the difference between different types of pharmaceutical dosage forms. |
3- Describe the scope of pharmacy, patient services, drug services, and the prescription. |
4- Identify the different prescription types. |
5- Explain the different types of pharmaceutical dosage forms, the routes of drug administration and the factors affecting its choice. |
6- Discuss the difference between the different types of pharmaceutical dosage forms. |

- Calculate the dose for children, weight, volume and length using these units.
