Synthesis, Characterization, and Electrochemical Studies of Ternary Complexes of Lanthanum (III) and Cerium (III) with Some Naphthylideneamino Acids and Imidazoles
A new series of ternary lanthanium(III) and cerium(III) complexes containing Schiff bases derived from some amino acids, viz: glycine; alanine; phenylalanine; valine and leucine with 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde as primary ligands, and 1-methylimidazole & 1,2-dimethylimidazole as secondary ligands were synthesized. The complexes were characterized on the bases of microanalyses, electrical conductance, IR & 1H NMR spectra, thermal analysis and cyclic voltammetric data. ... Read more

Morpholinium hydrogen sulfate (MHS) ionic liquid as an efficient catalyst for the synthesis of bio-active multi-substituted imidazoles (MSI) under solvent-free conditions
Morpholinium hydrogen sulfate as an ionic liquid was employed as a catalyst for the synthesis of a biologically active series of multi-substituted imidazoles by a four-component reaction involving the combination of benzil with different aromatic aldehydes, ammonium acetate, and 1-amino-2-propanol under solvent-free con-ditions. The key advantages of this method are shorter reaction times, very high yield, and ease of processing. ... Read more

Multicomponent green synthesis, spectroscopic and structural investigation of multi-substituted imidazoles. Part 1
Ten 1,2,4,5-tetra-substituted imidazole deriva-tives have been synthesized with a 2-hydroxyethy sub-stituent at the 1-nitrogen atom and potentially electron releasing hydroxy-, methoxy-, dimethylamino- or nitro substituents in various positions on the benzene ring located on the 2-carbon atom. The prototypical derivative with an unsubstituted phenyl ring at the 2-position is also reported. The compounds are obtained in excellent yields (average 86 ... Read more

Desighn, Characterization and Biological activity of new mixed ligand transition metal complexes of glutamine, glutaric and glutamic acid with nitrogen based ligands.
A new series of Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Fe(II) ternary complexes of glutamine, glutaric and glutamic acid with imidazole derivatives have been synthesized. The nature of bonding and the stereochemistry of the complexes have been deduced from elemental analyses, infrared, electronic spectra, conductivity measurements and thermogravimetric analysis. The structure of [Co(glu)(IMI)2] and [Fe(glu)(IMI)2(H2O)2] complexes was validated using quantum mechanics calculations ... Read more

Hydrothermal preparation and characterization of ZnFe2O4 magnetic nanoparticles as an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for the synthesis of multi‐substituted imidazoles and study of their anti‐inflammatory activity
Nanoparticles are key focus of research for a wide range of novel applications. As such, ZnFe2O4 magnetic nanoparticles were synthesized hydrothermally and charac-terized via scanning and transmission electron microscopies, powder X‐ray diffrac-tion, energy‐dispersive X‐ray and infrared spectroscopies, thermogravimetric analysis and magnetic measurements. They were used as a robust catalyst for the synthesis of a series of biologically active multi‐substituted imidazoles ... Read more
