Synthesis, Characterization, DNA Binding Studies and Embryos toxicity of Some Novel Iron(II) Amino Acid Schiff base complexes
New Fe(II) Schiff base amino acid complexes derived from the condensation of o-hydroxynaphthaldehyde with L-alanine, L-phenylalanine, L-aspartic acid, L-histidine and L-arginine were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, electronic spectra, and conductance measurements. The stoichiometry and the stability constants of the complexes were determined spectrophotometrically. The investigated Schiff bases exhibited tridentate coordination mode with the general formulae [Fe(HL)2]·nH2O. But ... Read more

Metal based pharmacologically active agents: Synthesis, structural characterization, molecular modeling, CT-DNA binding studies and in vitro antimicrobial screening of Iron(II) bromosalicylidene amino acid chelates
In recent years, great interest has been focused on Fe(II) Schiff base amino acid complexes as cytotoxic and antitumor drugs. Thus a series of new iron(II) complexes based on Schiff bases amino acids ligands have been designed and synthesized from condensation of 5-bromosalicylaldehyde (bs) and a-amino acids (L-alanine (ala), L-phenylalanine (phala), L-aspartic acid (aspa), L-histidine (his) and L-arginine (arg)). The ... Read more

Design, Synthesis, Structure Inspection, Biological Screening, and DNA Binding Study of Some New VO(II), Pd (II) and Ag(I) Chelates incorporating Tri-dentate Chemo Sensor Imine Ligand
The present study was conducted to synthesis of some new imine VO(II), Pd(II) and Ag(I) complexes derived from 2-[(2-Hydroxy-naphthalen-1-ylmethylene)-amino]-benzoic acid were synthesized. The prepared imine ligands were analyzed by their melting point, IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopy. The investigated imine complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, FT IR, Uv-vis and thermal analysis (TGA) in air from ambient temperature ... Read more

Some Nano imine Chelates for DNA Binding and Biological Applications
Air and moisture stable coordination compounds of some first transition metals such as Cr (III), Fe (II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) with newly designed tri and tetra-dentate imine ligands ( bsap, npap, bsisnph, npisnph) were synthesized. Tridentate imine ligands (bsap, npap) were synthesized by reacting 5-bromosalicyaldehyde (bs) or 2-hydroxy-1-napthaldehyde (np) with 2-aminopyridine (ap), whereas tetra-dentate imine ligands (bsisnph, npisnph) were ... Development, structural investigation, DNA binding, antimicrobial screening and anticancer activities of two novel quari-dentate VO(II) and Mn (II) mononuclear complexes
Two novel VO(II) and Mn(II) imine chelates derived from the condensation of o-phenylenediamine (PN) with 3-ethoxysalicylaldehyde(ES) were synthesized. The prepared ESPN imine ligand and its chelates were investigated _via_ different analytical and physicochemical tools. Correlation between all the obtained results, the parent ligand behaves as tetra-dentate ONNO ligand and coordinates to Mn(II) and VO(II), in octahedral and square pyramidal geometry, ... Read more
