Three hundred and  twenty  patients with erec tile failure   were  included  i11   our study  (cases with psychological,   neurological  and  hormonal  factors     were    excluded).    246  patients

-6.8%)  with  suspected    vasculogenic    impotence  underwent   color  Doppler  ultrasonography testing  for   the  cavernosal  arteries   after tmracavernous  injection  of 30 mg papaverine

HCI. The maximum  mean peak  systolic  velocity of the cavernosal  arteries,  the end diastolic velocity and   resistance    index    were   determined.  It  was found that  9 patients   (3.66%)

had normal findings,  22 (8.94%)  had pure  aterial   insufficiency,    143  (58.13%)   had  pure venous  leakage  while  72 (29.27%) had  combined  arterial   and  venous  dysfunction.   Also,

we found  that diabetes  mellitus  could  be considered  as a risk factor  in arterlogenic  group (18.18%),

( 34.72%) venogenic  group  (29.36%) and combined arterial and venous group

aminationIt appears that   venous  leak  could be suspected  from  the  results  of  Doppler

examination.   Patients  with pure  venous  leakage underwent   Dynamic  cavemosography for  the confirmation of the diagnosis  and detection  of the side and severity of venous  leakage.  fl was found  that  unilateral   leak  was detected  in 59 patients  (41.25%) and  bilateral leakage 84 (58. 75%). According   to the maintenance   [low, the severity  of leakage  was detected.   I 0 cases

6.99%) had mild  leak,  22 cases (15.31%)  had moderate leak,  while  111 cases  (77. 70%) had severe  leak
