Growth and Development are defining features of childhood. They are influenced by many factors (genetic, environmental … etc.) which determine the final stature and cognitive status of a child. Regular monitoring of Growth and Development provides the clinician with an important indicator of the underlying health status of the child and assists the clinician in detecting early signs of medical or psychological problems
the aim of this course is to illustrate the normal stages of growth and development of children from neonatal period until adolescence
normal growth parameter are demonstrated and growth disorders are discussed
different stages of gross motor, fine motor, language and social development of children are demonstrated and sings of deviation of normal development are highlighted
