The aim of this lecture is to provide students with basic knowledge of normal development of genitalia and enable them to recognize its abnormalities

The learning objectives are

Understand normal stages of development of genitalia

Know the normal appearance of genitalia at birth and recognize cases with ambiguous genitalia

Understand the need for prompt referral of cases with ambiguous genitalia

Know the most common causes of ambiguous genitalia especially classic congenital adrenal hyperplasia
