Microscopic and IFAT Based Incidence of Sarcocystis in Naturally Infected Buffaloes (Bubalus bubalis) at Sohag, Egypt
Abstract The aim of the present work was to detect the incidence rate of Sarcocystis spp. from Egyptian Water Buffaloes (Bubalus bubalis) in Sohag governorate, Egypt. Blood and muscle samples (145 each) were collected from neighborhood abattoirs. S. buffalonis 33.8%, S. levinei 14.48% and S. fusiformis 0.41% were recognized by microscopic examination and confirmed by indirect immunofluorescence antibody technique (IFAT). ... Read more

Evaluation of the bioassay of Commiphora molmol extract (Mirazid) against praziquantel in experimentally infected mice with Schistosoma mansoni
Schistosoma mansoni worms inhabit the portal triad affecting blood elements. Therefore, the current study aimed to compare ameliorative effects of Commiphora molmol extract (Mirazid, MZD) and praziquantel (PZQ) on some biochemical parameters in S. mansoni-infected mice. Accordingly, Swiss albino mice (n=72) were used and were divided into 4 equal groups; 18 mice each. Group (1) was uninfected non-treated control. Mice ... Read more

Occurance of hydratic cyst in camels (Camelus dromedarius) and their effect on meat quality
Hydatidosis is caused by Echinococcus granulosus which is one of the important parasitic disease in warm blooded vertebrates and occasionally in many other mammal species. Their were no enough informations available regarding haematological profile, serum enzyme activity, chemical changes, and mineral profile in one humped camels (Camelus dromedaries) from Egypt with pulmonary hydatid cyst. The objective of the present study ... Read more

Molecular characterization of Hydatid Cyst from Egyptian one humped Camels (Camelus dromedaries)
Abstract Hydatidosis or cystic cystic echinococcosis (CE) is caused by Echinococcus granulosus (EG) complex, which infecting humans especially childrens, and several species of wild and domestic animals including; camels, cattle, equines, sheep, and goats, infection come from the consumption of Echinococcus granulosus eggs with contaminated food, and therefore the syndrome is of public health significance, there are several genotypes nearly ... Immunological and Molecular Diagnosis of Some Enteric Protozoa.
Diagnosis of protozoal parasites requires highly sensitive and specific tests; the question of the public health impacts of Cryptosporidium, and Giardia species and genotypes is emerging. For this reason, there is an urgent need to determine the extent of genetic diversity within strains affecting humans or animals in order to understand the molecular epidemiology of this Cryptosporidium, and Giardia. This ... Read more

Microscopical and immunological diagnosis of some Enteric protozoal parasites at Menoufiya governorate, Egypt
