Omyma Abd Elaziz Abd El-latif Abd Allah, a Professor of Organic Chemistry, Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Sohag University. I awarded my M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry (1989) and my Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry (1995). My research is the Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry and Organoclays Synthesis as shown in the given list below. Also, I have a history of several years of teaching for college students and various trends in different universities.

Synthesis of Some New 1,8-Naphthyridines From N-(7-Chloro-5-Methyl-1,8-Naphthyridine-2-yl) Acetamide and 7-Amino-2-Chloro-4-Methyl-1,8-Naphthyridine
The first parent compound N-(7-chloro-5-methyl-1,8-naphthyridine-2- yl)acetamide was reacted with both of ethyl thioglycolate forming ethyl [{7-(acetylamino)-4-methyl-1,8-naphthyridine-2yl} sulfanyl] acetate and ethyl[(-7-amino-4-methyl-1,8- naphthyridine-2yl) sulfanyl] acetate and with thioacetamide to afford N-[5-methyl-7- sulfanyl-1,8-naphthyridine-2-yl] acetamide. Starting with 3,5-diphenylcyclohex-2-en-1-one, 3,5-diphenylcyclohex-2-en-1-semicarbazone,1-chloro-3,5-diphenylcyclohex-2-en-2-carbaldehyde,and3,5-diphenylcyclohex2-en-1-hydrazone were synthesized via the reactions with semicarbazide hydrochloride,POCl3= dimethylformamide, and hydrazine hydrate, respectively. These products were used as key intermediates for the preparation of novel series of tetrahydrobenzothiadiazol-1-oxide, indazole, benzo-thiazepines, pentahydroxyhexylidene and N-thiazines. Starting with curcumin different pyrane, N-phenyl-1,3-thiazolidin and thiocurcumin derivatives were synthesized. 4-Oxo-3-phenyl1,3-thiazolidin derivative was reacted with different organic reagents examply, benzaldehyde, triethylorthoformate and hydrazine hydrate to form new series of 5-benzylidine-4-oxo-3-phenyl-1,3-thiazolidin, 5-ethoxymethylene-4-oxo-3-phenyl-1,3-thiazolidin and [1,8] naphthyridine derivatives.
